Flucuating idle...
I was playing around with data collection on the truck and noticed the idle had been flucuating up and down and has since I bought the truck. Only does it when warm. I also had a CEL that would turn on during acceleration and it sounded like the timing was retarded. Not sure what that was but no codes were read... Anyone else have a rolling idle?

Disconnect the ICP sensor and see if it still does it. If it smooths out, you could have a bad ICP sensor or sticking/sluggish IPR valve.
Also check for oil inside the connector. If you have oil there, you need to clean the connector thoroughly and replace the ICP sensor.

Also, above is some data on the cylinder velocity changes at idle. I was under the impression these values should be 0. Mine kept moving around, but never were they all 0. As for the ICP, it looks like the ICP had little bearing on the engine speed flucuation. The truck did start a little smoother with the ICP disconnected though... Does anyone else have data on their rotational velocity changes?
