I know some of you will say to just dump it but that is not gonna happen so here it goes.
When I engage my 4X4 High it will stay engaged as long as I maintain momentum down the road but as soon as I let up on the throttle and slow down or stop at an intersection the front hubs disengage. If I switch back to 2wd and then back to 4X4 it will re-engage until I slow or stop again.
If I manually lock the hubs and then switch to 4X4 they will stay engaged.
Am I suffering a vacuum seal leak in the hubs or is there likely another issue? If it is a vacuum leak in the hubs what parts do I need?
Why dont you want to get rid of them and go with Warns?
Because were lazy and paid a nice premium to have this option. But on the serious note although my comment is true, I like this system and Warns are a great upgrade, I just like the fact that Jay and I don't have to get out of the truck. A bump and subscribing Jay, mine did something simular just last week.
Jay I like my ESOF's also and plan on keeping them as long as I can. I did the Guzzle rebuild this spring I was also having some problems but after the rebuild they work like new. Also check all of your lines for cracks or splits.
