Whats an fmx look like? How can I ID one. I just pulled a 360 out of a 68 f100, and the tranmission looks noting like a c6. Instead of the driveshaft inserting into the tail housing like on the c6, it bolts to the end of the trans. Is this a FMX?

e60 the FMX is a three piece cast iron tranny, and I'm not sure how the driveshaft attaches.

FMX
The FMX no-hands trans has a removable torque converter housing and no external servo covers. By comparison to C4s and C6s, it is more difficult to rebuild, not as bulletproof, and more challenging to get parts. Just my $.02.
