Hey fellas, I went to the dealership to get the cruise ctl recall and they told me with their complimentary inspection that I had a "y" pipe leaking. I haven't seen any forum posts in my search about this, and I keep seeing posts about the up pipe, where am I looking for this particular unit? pre turbo or what? thanks, Alex
the Y or babies butt is at the back of the turbo..the 2 up pipes from the exhaust manifolds go into it...look all around in there the best you can and look for any soot..if you see soot..you have a leak...
I'd bet they're talking about the up pipes. The 2 exhaust pipes converge in a "y" pre turbo. tough to see. follow the pipes up from underneath and also with a mirror from on top of the motor. you will find traces of soot anywhere they are leaking.
on a side note, there are several FTE members in the Boise area. might be a good excuse for a little FTE 7.3 Get2Gether.

What they said, but it's more like a complimentary destruction sometimes. I'd look around and make sure they didn't mess with something that might screw things up.
