fog lights keep busting

i have a 2004 f150 fx4, i bought the truck used and had the fog lights bust inside, the way it looked was that to much moisture got in and busted it, so i got a new whole fog light assembly on it and also a new fog light, well the other day when i got home the new fog light was busted the same, its like moisture keep busting these. but if someone could solve this problem this woul be helpful..

I thought I was the only one with a crappy set up. I wrote about this issue over two years ago and nobody replied. I replaced the drivers side bulb six times and the asm'y three times. The passenger side bulb three times and the ***'y twice. I have no fog lights know and have a black film on the silver reflecting part of both sides and looks like crap. I am tired of spending money on temperary bandaides. The stealors have no clue on customer saticfaction. They had enough nerve to tell me that I had to take the asm'y out and blow out with air compressor. That would be once a month. Ive tried cover over the back and electrical grease. I also remved the fog light on during highbeams mod. I still had the same problem before, after installing and removing the mod. Ihope there is some fix.

yeah when i get off on thursday im going to take the whole assmbly off dry it out and and get the glass out then im going to seal the whole assembly again so no moisture gets in it, becuase everytime it bust i can see moisture residue in it. so yeah this is just some bs, hopefully we can get it figured out, my driver side ive had no problems with so i dont know if maybe just the passenger side gets more water and crap on it since its on the side of the road closer to the ditch if ya know what i mean, but im going to try and seal it up. i dont know after that i know mine even has a little screen on it might need to block that off to

I tried to remove the lence but broke it. When you remove as much glue as possible, try not to pry the lence to much on one side at ounce. Your haveing a problem with the passenger and most of the problems is with the driverside, closests to the meadian. Im at 128 K miles and spent $60 per asm'y times 5. By now I should have hinges on the lences.

dam man yeah your going to town spending money on her, yeah im just going to put hot glue on her, usually working pretty good to seal stuff, as i have done in the past, but i will find out but ill get the glass out and blow dry the moisture, and the one before had all the chrome stuff come off and was black, so that was another reason i replaced it but mainly cuase the bulb blue upbut yeah i wont pry on it, but im going to switch it over so they stay on durring high beams, im also getting hids here soon and k&n filter there both in the mail coming to my house

My 05 fx4 has the same problem on the passenger side fog light. This fall somehow a little moisture got in there. About 2 weeks ago i noticed the bulb was shattered inside.

Never had to take mine out, but if these are halogens, make sure you dont put your fingers on them while installing. the oil on your skin will make these bulbs implode, as they get so hot. That' why most hal's come with a protective piece of foam around them, use it to get it in the socket.

Glad to hear. One thing I was thinking is to put just the lense part in water to check for leaks after glueing.
