This might not supposed to be here but Im gonna throw it out there. Its not mine! Considering who is selling it I wouldnt hesitate to pick it up if the price was decent enough.

Like Cheezit said that would be a deal if it is all it is supposed to be (I think thats what he was saying) Anyway That place isn't but 30 minutes from my house if, anyone needs a set of eye ***** put on it. I would love to get if only I had a Job!

Couple observations:
1. Reserve is not met... without knowing that.. it may be a waste of time.
2. Ebay is ridiculous --- the bidding happens in the last 5 minutes before it closes.
So unless you are prepared to hang out and do that in that crucial last few minutes, and you know your own bottom line (not to exceed price) you can get rooked real easily.
For $5,000 you can get a rebuilt one --- "brand new" from a reputable shop, but without the doodads.
So.. my view is, with the risks, etc... I would set a "top" on this of about $2,500.
How would you know if the studs are ARP by a visual inspection?
If you are unable to inspect (and turn on) the wreck odometer, it is hard to verify mileage.
Oh... pulling and installing an engine is easily 15 to 20 hours of work... not counting cab off.

YEA! Iwould love just to have the exta parts I would probably just part the engine out. If I could make the labor$ and parts$ I could come out pretty good. I don't like ebay either and would do $1500-$1900-maybe. Really don't have the cash so it really isn't anything to me just dreaming

Well I never said hey, someone buy this for $5K plus, I was getting to the point that the possability is there for a deal, depending on the reserve. And, considering its coming from a quite reputable person in the PSD world that has a VERY GOOD track record, I would have NO reason to doubt there statements. Its got studs, EGR delete, injectors, oil cooler etc, I think it would be a reasonable deal anyhting under the $3500 mark. Used STOCK motors are going in the $4000 range with under 100K miles.

If it is what the fella says it is.... and my cursory check online says "yes", you are quite right.
However, for $4,000 for a used motor, here is a better deal:
Core charge: $800, new reman... $5,000

Note: I don't know this shop or their reputation or their quality --- but at that price, it is worth checking out.

If the guy is as good as he appear in person, and his shop is credible and you are nearby (means no problem showing up for warranty repairs, you can't go too wrong.
That is why I though it is a great thing to do by showing up with engravings of Ben Franklin in hand....
