Exclamation Still not running helppp

Im having a problem on my 96 f150.
I swapped the ignition switch and the fuel pump is getting power but still not making the buzz noise when I turn the key on.
Its a brand new pump, is it possible the sending unit is bad?
I have replaced the fuses and relays and pump.
The relays are clicking when I turn the key over.

I dropped the tank again, tested the pump and its good.
It has dual tanks could it be the tank selection switch?

So how do you know the fuel pump is getting power? Have you used a DVM to measure the voltage getting to the pump? Once the voltage gets there it has to have a return path to ground. It takes both to get the fuel pump to work.

If it is getting the proper voltage as measured in reference to ground then your new pump is DOA. If it is not getting the proper voltage then you need to start tracing wires and connections. An EVTM manual is priceless for these kinds of issues. I pirated mine as a torrent. You can find them on E-bay too.

Check the inertia cutoff switch behind the passenger kick panel. It shuts the fuel pump off in case of an accident. Mine was tripped and it drove me nuts after an engine swap. It's got a little red button on top of it, make sure it's pushed in. This may not be your solution, but you never know.

Will the pump run if you supply power to it? I would check that if you haven't already.

If your not gettting power at the pump, it could still be the relay. Does the relay click once when the key is turned on or does it keep clicking?

Yes, the tank selector switch can cause a no run condition. I had that happen to mine once. When it broke it wouldn't turn either pump on.

Good point about the inertia switch.

Whats an EVTM manual?

Electric and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual. Ford has published these for every vehicle they have manufactured since the mid-80's (maybe older?) It's a guide with schematics, theory and troubleshooting flow charts. They are an in depth look of what each of those colored wires/vacuum lines do, where they come from and where they go. It also covers the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) Sample:

That does look very useful. I would like to get it. Is it expensive, where did you get it from?

When checking for power in the the Fuel system wiring always use a Test Light and never use a DVM or meter.
The DVM will lie to you and say you have voltage in this circuit when you do not.
Make sure the test light has an incandescent bulb in it and not a neon or led light.
The incandescent bulb will load the circuit.
