I have a 99 f-250 that is not a 4x4. I dont like the way that it sits higher in the back. I was wondering if i were to change out the rear shackles and drop it maybe 2 inches would that hurt my towing capabilities? I just want it to sit level. Thanks for the help.

Measure the rear blocks. If you have an early 99 they may be 4 inch (actually 10 cm). I removed the stock E99 4" rear blocks and put in stock 2" (5 cm) blocks. Sits much closer to level.
I just looked at mine and mine does not have any blocks on it. It just has that plate that goes under the block. What else can i do to make it lower in the back.
baby2000 why dont you level out the front of your truck? that way you arent foolin with the rear springs and the truck will sit level with no rake at all. try daystar.com. if i knew how to post a link i would to help you out better and the leveling kit is only $129 and some change takes about 1 to 2 hrs at the most to install.

Never seen a 250 without any blocks at all. Take a couple of pics and post up. If the front is lower then the rear and you have no blocks then somewhere along the line the springs have been changed.
My truck tows just as well 2" lower as it did 2" higher. And it takes the curves just a bit better.
