I want to make a custom console for my truck that runs from origanal heat run to the back of the cab or a little shorter> I want to put a set of 6x9 speakers on the sides and some heat runs that just go to 2inches farther from the origanal but i want to make it in wood shop and the other problem is the shifters I someone told me that i can get a short throw shifter for it can I?
would there be any other problems?
And the seats will be out of a 94 F150 the captins chairs.
any ideas?

[FONT COLOR="#0000ff" SIZE="-1" FACE="Tahoma"]Custom work is kinda hard to give advice on over the net since my ideas might not be the same as yours. I'm not sure what tranny/shifter you have in there based on the limited info you posted.
Nevertheless, this should be do-able project. I would mount your seats then take careful measurements and draw plans. A cardboard proto-type might also be good idea since I assume you will be using an expensive hardwood or perhaps a veneer plywood. Have fun.[/FONT][BR]
