Suggestions for more HP
New to the board. I have a 73 f100 shortbed that was originally a 6 cyl 300 but was swapped out for a 302. Casting number D4DE-6015-A Z on the block. Anyways, I am planning on rebuilding the motor this winter, and would like some of you guys opinions on some components. Im looking to add between 50-80 HP. Probably going to be a daily driver, and just want some more kick. Not terribly concerned about fuel mileage but don't want to get into the single digits/gallon. Everything is stock as far as I know. Already have a set of longtube headers ready to go on. Id like to do a cam, intake manifold and carb. Suggestions? What's worked best for you guys with the 302? Not looking to swap the motor either. Just add to this one. Thanks!

You're going in the right direction with headers, carb, intake, and cam. I'd also do an ignition swap, to a MSD 6a ignition set up but thats just me. If you want to get down to really swapping stuff out. I'd get some GT40 heads for it off of a late 80's early 90's mustang with a 5.0. Thats all that comes to mind at the moment I'll add some more later.
