Heater Core Help
No noticeable leak on interior but windows got gooped up and have the telltale smell so looks like my heater core is out. Bought the core and the replacement ring-kit and plastic coupler.
I've gone through the posts and found the procedure for replacement. BUT, I cannot even get my hand(s) in there to disconnect the hoses from the engine-compartment side.
I don't have monster hands and expected the tight squeeze but there is a blower bracket, transmission fill tube, and other stuff in the way. There doesn't seem to be any way to squeeze the coupler and pull-twist the hoses out!
Any help would be appreciated - dead in the water during winter with no core. Thanks.
