I am worried about traction. Would bigger tires help I have 245's now and were could i put some extra weight. also its equiped with a dana 60 with a 4.10 gear ratio. Its going in a 69 f250 curently 300 6

bigger tires will help to a point then they will rub and blow up. if you go too big. for more weight dont add weight just move around what you already have on the truck.
i mounted a fuel cell in my bed right abovethe rear axle. and moved the battery back there too. just some suggestions

i have a 71 and i run a 275/60/15 on the rear, no problem with clearing the fender wells. you might get a 295/50/15 in there but not sure, this would be wider and not really taller than your 245's.
