5 speed questions.
Are there any differences in the 5 speeds from different years? My truck is a 95 but I found a 94 DI 5 speed f350. He said the truck was in great running condition when parked. He is now parting it out, He has already sold the front end and the hood. I am interested in the 5 speed, IDM, Tailgait, and maybe the clutch and flywheel if they are still in good shape. He wants 1200 for the whole truck, I was thinking of offering him 350 for the trans and IDM.
Mine shifts like crap in 2nd and third and it may be much simpler and cheaper just to swap in a another trans.

same tranny. go for it. if it shifts good then its worth more than $350 so you will be good at that price. i wouldn't get the clutch and flywheel. not worth the trouble to swap in another factory clutch unless you HAVE to do it. otherwise call Valair clutch and get you a single mass conversion. how much you think he wants for the injectors and HPOP if they are good? LoL. how about the turbo?
I don't know, I doubt he wants to pull the engine apart though. Heck if its a good engine the engine alone is worth the 1200 or close to it. My wife just got 2 free nights at a bed and breakfast over there so in a couple of weeks we are going to head over there and if he still have the stuff Ill see if I can get them. You want me to ask about the injectors and HPOP?
