Or, here is a set up to use manual switches instead of a relay. It will work with yours

Slightly, but that's normal. I'll get it working sooner or later.

I'm going to try the voltage reducer first to see if I can get it going.

Here is a shot of my dirty engine with my air cleaner. It looks just like the one in the above photo. It looks like the one in your 56 catalog on the lower left (I think it says 167 HP). My air cleaner doesn't look like any of the aircleaners in my '54 dealer catalog. My air cleaner says "Front" like Bruce's '55. This is the air cleaner that was on the truck when I bought it in 1977. It fits so I am not looking, just am curious...

that's how i have my '64 panel hooked up. just the solenoid, relay, toogle switch and cable...works great. but i was thinking he wanted to keep it stock looking.

Oh Yeah, but it's always really cool when your dash looks like an airplane cockpit with all those switches!
