Drive Selector Switch Light
I can't recall if if my drive selector switch (AWD/4HI/4Low) by the radio bezel ever had a light behind it. If I am driving at night I can see the selection on the instrument cluster if it is in anything other than AWD but can't see on the switch itself.

It does have a light. Mine went out last year. My local dealer said they don't make the bulb anymore. They wanted to sell me a whole new switch for $75 if I remember right. I've been living without the light since then.

Thanks. Time to rip the switch out and see if a bulb can be found somewhere else. It looks like the radio bezel should pull back and off with out any special tools. Anyone have any experience with removal? Tips, tricks or precautions?

Thanks for all the information. That link was very helpful to understand the bulb. I had some micro bulbs from radioshack (272-1092) that are used in my audi switches. The housing was a little smaller than the green bulb cover but I was able to tuck it into the lamp housing. The bulb was the perfect intensity to match the remaining lights.
