ok, i had to boost my truck yesterday (~35 degs) because i din't plug it in... once started, i idled it for a bit, and then my truck shut down and would not start again.... the glow plug light does not even come on now when i try a start. what to do, what to do....

Check fuse #30 IIRC... should be PCM/Fuel bowl heater. If it's blown, unplug the plug at the rear of your fuel filter housing that is toward the driverside. (It'll be fine to drive that way) then replace the fuse, and enjoy the rest of your holiday!
That is the rear of your filter housing (pay no attention to all the crap that's different on mine) The plug is in the left on the photo, under the braided fuel line, and has NOTHING plugged in.
If it is #30 as CPUNeck says (it very likely is) and it blows again, your fuel bowl heater is shot. You'll have a few options:
1) unplug it and leave it that won't - won't harm a thing
2) order a new one and replace the dead one
3) take it out of the fuel bowl and just call it good
start at unplugging it, pick one of the 3 above as your permanent fix, and you're all done!
