71 Power steering
Its me again. I got a 1971 3/4ton with no powersteering. How hard on a scale of 1-10 would it be to put powersteering on and how avaliable are the parts and what vehicles could I take them from?

if it's the same as the f100 it about a 3. just make sure the wheels are straight ahead, pop the pullman arm off of the linkage. 3 bolts and the steering column and it's off. install is just the reverse, but you will need to pull the pitman arm and move from one box to the other. i just did it in about 1 hour. i have my old box if you need one, it worked fine but i had one with nice paint and a faster gear inside.

Buy a donor truck, don't buy parts here and there. I have done it several times and sold extra parts for more than I paid for the donor. A scrap company will usually pick up the leftovers for free.
