Front axle weight question
I have a 1999 Ford F250 super duty ext cab 4x4 with the V10 engine, is the front axle rating 4400lbs on this vehicle? I purchased a standard 8ft plow and I need 2 additional brackets for it but the lightest weight they list is for 5200lbs which they say should be my vehicles front axle capacity but it's listing 4400 on the sticker. Would there be any difference between the 2 weights that would cause those brackets not to fit?

are you talking about spring ratings? i know there are at least three different springs available,4400lbs. - 5200lbs. - 6000lbs. What do the brackets have to do with your spring rating. they should bolt up no matter which springs you have. if the front end sags a little because of your 4400lbs. rating, you can add timberens. they are quick and easy to install.
