ok guys i just noticed today when i started my truck in the garage i heard a clicking noice from up under the hood, almost sounded like my AC compressor engaging and disengaging but why would it do this in the middle of winter???
It is deff in fact your ac compressor. Reason being the ac compressor operates on defrost to remove moisture in your truck. So it being, if you had you defrost on, your compressor will run.

Your A/C compressor is engaged in EVERY position except vent only and feet only... Every other setting calls for the compressor. So, if you had the defrost on , your compressor would be cycling.
