Ive read alot about these and i want to put them on my 1995 f-150
my question is what applications did they come on?
Ive read that they come on 96 explorers and GT40P on the 97 1/2 explorers.
But I really dont want the GT40p's because of the exhaust header problems
Did they come on more models? If so which ones
Will A set of headers (cheap headman longtubes) fit on the GT40's?
i know they are on the 2000 explorer limited editions or its the x ones idk there isnt anything special about them i would just throw some extra cash in and buy some ones from trick flow edlebrock dart or some of those others
well after about 6 hours of mind numbing effort at my local junkyard in 25 degree weather WITH snow and sleet me and a friend of mine managed to get a set of heads off of an explorer
The only problem... There GT40P's....
But im gonna have em cleaned and magnafluxed and if there good i may try and trade em for some gt40's
The P's can be used you just have to be prepared to do some clearancing on whatever headers you use, guy here on this site posted some pics of them on his trucks with longtubes and said it wasn't that bad a job.
