High idol
Just recently when starting up the 76 f250 with a 360 its been idoling real high, maybe 2,000-2500 rpm's. I got up and messed with the choke flap i believe its called and its not moving at all from start till when i let it idol. When i move the flap a bit i cant get it to idol where i want but it wont stay there. Anyone know how to fix this?

On the passanger side of the carb there is an adjustment screw and it is your high idle adjustment. Screw out to lower your high idle to about 1500 rpms. You do not adjust your choke to adjust the idle, you should only adjust your choke to control how long it stays on.
