clutch issue identified

Well, pulled the transmission/transfer case and found the arm that holds the throw out bearing almost broke in half. I have ordered the replacement arm, pivot pin and a new throwout bearing to go in once the holidays are over. Probably take till then to UPS them in anyhow after what I experienced with the hydralic parts to the clutch.

While it's out, PLEASE do your self a favor and order a kevlar pilot bushing and replace the pilot bearing with it.
Mine failed and took the tranny with it.

Did it look like this?

At least the new one has been redesigned to help prevent this.

Initial failure was clutch pedal went to the floor and stayed there. After I pulled it back a few times it got hard and wouldn't move. Suspect that ment the slave cylinder was fully extended and wouldn't move any further. DAy before wife was complaining that it didn't want to shift between gears.

Yup, that captures it pretty close. Just hope the new design don't do the same thing.
