Excursion Dually???

Excursion Dually???
Hi folks,
My apologies if this has been covered before----but I didn't find anything after searching.
Can you----or has anyone----added dual rear wheels to an Excursion?
My wife is getting tired of her Grand Cherokee, and has been eyeing an X---she says too many people jump out in front of her in the Jeep.
We have been borrowing my brother's SD dually F250 for moving, and now she REALLY likes how the dual wheels look in back.
Since the Ex is based on the SD platform, it seems like a simple deal to her to just add 2 more wheels and modify a couple of junkyard fenders to mount up.
I know that you will not be able to pull a fith wheel with the Excursion----a big point of having dual wheels--- but every trailer in our family now (utility, boat, & RV ) are bumper mounts anyway.
Thoughts? and don't mention an Expedition EL---she say they look "wrong"

Truck Adaptor & Wheel - Chromewheel.com Main Page has some pictures of excursions with semi truck super singles that would easily be replaced with a dually axle to give you the look you want. Seems pretty easy to me. Source a dually rear and install yourself. Buy the fenders. Have body shop mount and paint the fenders. Done.

the idea is good but it will not help much in terms of towing, dually axel on mine is DANA 80, it's pretty wide and hefty. If you are going looking for looks, go for it...

WOW OLD THREAD.... On the dually subject.... Anyone know if a dually rear can be installed in an X and still have the X wheels on it? I can get a 2000 F350 dually rear complete with 4.56 gears and a posi for only $400. I can also get one out of a 91 f350 with 5.13 gears and a posi for $175. I'm trying to avoid the ugly cost of just doing gears.
