I am in the process of ordering a DUI HEI. I will let you know how it goes once I get it going. There are a few guys over in the 300's that have them, and haven't seemed to have too many problems with them, and are typically happy with the results.

if i can get this truck i will. i thought about trying to work out of my buddies garage fixing cheap vehicles and selling them for profit to get some income coming in. i will either put a used e4od in it and sell it (found a good 97 tranny+t-case for 350), or put a c6 in it and keep it for myself. been finding a lot of good deals lately cause its cold and people don't wanna work on **** in this weather so they sell.

I would say that if you are looking at budget to performance, the DUI, especially, is not the way to go. You just aren't going to see the numbers match the dollar spent for the most part. But hell, that is the case with most "performance" mods...oh well. I am still gonna do it. I have decided it is cheaper to play and maintain this one than it is to buy a new(er) truck. Not to mention I would probably end up with a truck with more miles than the one I have!

i have my license. as a matter of fact i have to renew the damn thing in a few months to the tune of $30, i don't remember paying any, let alone that much, last time i renewed it. just another way for the man to screw you over

I am going to the offy dp, holley set-up. No more feedback b/s for me! I have the offy DP, a 465 Holley, and the EFI exhaust manifolds. I wasn't completely sure if I wanted to go with the DUI, or just go with an older duraspark II...I plan to do the port and polish, cam, and some other things...so I thought I would try for the best gain I could get.

this makes me lol. they are awesome motors, but i had a buddy who used to have a pulling truck with a built 300. swore it would walk all over my truck, and i'm not gonna lie, it was a beast for what it was, but alas, i hurt his feeling with mild bbf powaa. that truck was pretty cool though.
