Sorry, 17.97 now, price went up 3 dollars since you posted that.

Lift kits for IFS front axles are not cheap, but that is the only way to lift them and get decent tire mileage.

Buying a decent lift for a ttb frontend would shure cut the price of a D 60 swap.

Well do the math 4inch lift 900
D60 st 1200 automaticaly get 2 inches 1200.
You get a D60 for 300 bucks.

Do the math if you are going to spend 900 on a lift anyway and you can get a D 60 for 1200, then you can have a D60 for 300 extra. It makes a cheap D60 upgrade.

And 35" tires on a Dana 44 is going to be pushing it rather hard.

I would hate to spend 900 on a lift only to find out the axle can't handle the tires that are also not going to be cheap.

In that instance, go with the 60 and settle for a bit smaller tires and in the long run, even money with a much more dependable axle.

heres the thing my truck aint a 4x4, i was looking at the suspention today and i could just get a 4in bigger spring or a 4in plate to lift my spring, get a longer shock or 2 and extend the (idk wut the arm is called, but the arm that goes from the frame and hold thelower mont for the shock) by some metal and cut making it an inch or 2ish longer and i should be good on the front end.... now the back is were it gets tricky, kinda stilling workign outhow to raise.. maybe get a 4in spacer between the differental and the spring....

had a jeep cheeroke with a 4in block spacer and it worked just fine, and it would be the cheapist way... considering i dont do tomuch offroading it wouldnt be that big of a deal to have a block susptention lift

I posted the wood post! Just undo all the body mounts and slip a 4x4 between the body and the frame. Then get some longer body mount bolts. I use treated wood whenever I do it. Do the same to the bed. I wood should last just as good and if it doesn't then if you still have the truck in 20 years replace the wood with new.
