I asked because I knew some frames from different years were different widths. After doing som research(should have done in the first place) this is what I have concluded. I have a 77.5 or later F-250 4x4 hence I have the wider frame. The earlier 4x4 250 had the narrow frame although the 2wd had a wider frame in the rear just as my truck does. so all should fit correctly. Someone correct me if I am wrong

True, but you can drill new holes to put a highboy bed on it if you wind up with one.
I would rather not myself but if the right bed comes along for the right price, I could live with an extra set of holes. You can alwys weld them up anyway
