I just bought 69 F250 camper special and rebuilt the rag joint/ steering coupler. I didn't have the time to check out the brg in the end of the shaft behind the clamp. It is dry as a bone and seems to rattle around, but the problem is the clamp. In order to tighten and keep the steering wheel up to the turn signal cup, it's rubbing against the tube, if I back it away then the wheel starts to back off from the turn signal and then the shift collar backs up to, leaving big gaps btwn the three pieces and the wheel klunks up and down. Anybody have any experience with this? How about the Voss books, has anybody bought the volume that covers this area and got the skinny from it?
