Hey everybody,

I'm driving an F150 with a 289, 3speed on the floor. I have the unique opportunity to be able to purchase any new engine and transmission currently still in production at an extremely low cost and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what would be a good setup for highway driving. I want to stay small block V8 and standard shift. I have heard that a 5L 5Speed from the Mustang is bitchin', but I don't think I want to hassle with the FI. Any ideas? Do they still make a naturally aspirated engine?

Rick

Hey Rick, you might try a 302, that should work real well. If you have trouble finding one just let me know.

I've seen plenty of ads for Ford Crate engines and long blocks, many of which you provide the Intake. 5.0,351W,392 (Windsor stroker)
