I am in the middle of changing Ball Joints and have discovered that I have an inner axle seal leaking. The question is, is there a seal of choice?
I bought a set from Napa for $14.95 each the other parts store can get a set of National seals for $47.95 each. The National seal supposedly is a high tech double lip thing, they didn't have them in stock and had no photo.
Seem like a lot for a seal but if they are that much better, now would be the time because they are such a PITA to change.
I would get the best seal.....usually more $$. They are a PITA to change. The last set I replaced were about $35 each.
They install from the inside of the differential housing and can be hurt very easily during the installation. My 2¢
