Flywheel bolt up???
i have a 77 460 with auto. from a car. the flywheel is trash. i also have a 460 from a 79 truck with an auto. will the flywheels interchange? theres some visual difference, but as far as i can tell it should work.. just needed some info here.

You are talking flexplate w/ automatic. Whats trashed? The ringgear? These can be replaced. I have been told that a machine shop will put a torch to them and get them real hot, and then drop on floor to shock the pieces apart. I don't know if your motor has been balanced to that particular flexplate, if it was it would be preferable to keep the original. If you just replace, the issue would be is the ringgear the same diameter (same number of teeth) as what came out of your bellhousing.
