Trac bar torque spec?

I have a 99 F-250 and the 99 workshop manuals, but I updated to the newer trac bar and brackets from 2002-2004 4x4 250's and 350's.

What is are the bolts to the axle and to the bracket supposed to be torqued to? (they have a 30mm head and a nut with a tab so you don't have to hold the nut)

I normally hit it with a 1/2" impact gun but I'm gueesing between 120-140 lbs. of torque should be ok.

Yeah 406 lb-ft is a little bit more than most 1/2" impacts can reach.

Yup, 400 is the correct spec. That said, I hit mine with a high power 1/2" ingersoll impact and the tightened as much as I could with a breaker bar.

I did the same thing. Used impact and then breaker bar with a 3 foot cheater pipe. I have no idea how much torque I applied but it was a lot.
