Hey guys,
Was out driving around and spotted a 63' unibody with a For Sale sign. Stopped and was checking it out, good shape! Engine was in the bed of the truck, heads off, wrote down the casting numbers from block and heads, here they are:
block: D1VE-6015-A2B
heads: D3VE-A2A
intake missing: :-(
Just wondering if I'm right or not. Thanks

It could be a 429 or 460 from 70 to 76.There are two ways to tell which one in is. The first is to measure the stroke (3.85 for the 460 3.59 for the 429). The second is by the casting number on the crank (2Y,2YA,2YAB,2YABC,3Y for the 460 and 4U,4UA for the 429). Measuring the stroke might be the easiest since the heads are off and it is laying in the bed of the truck unless the motor is stuck.Hope this info can help you.
