Im so happy i didnt have any problems at the DMV today. Everything went smooth. I dont got to get it inspected or nothing and i should have my tags in about a week. One question though My Title is for a 55 f100 but ill be using a 56 cab, the frame has the correct Vin # but i plan on getting a new data plate made for the glove box door. Does anyone think ill have a problem? I dont think i will because there is all kinds of crazy swaps people are doing these days who knows.
You won't have a problem. The important thing is you have a title that matches your frame number. In WA, that's what the state patrol is concerned with. But just in case, it's a good idea to keep some kind of documentation in your personal files to confirm where the cab came from, and that you bought it legally from a known-non-stolen vehicle, if you have it. Congrats on your hassle-free registration. Not everyone here is so lucky.
You said you have tags coming? Are you getting personalized? You can run a single, year-of-manufacture plate on the rear of your truck, with a one-time, permenant registration fee, if you want. Looks cool and saves a ton of money over the years.
