Gauge question

I just got in my 3 gauges. pyrometer,tran temp, fuel pressure. I plan on putting them tomorrow. The question I have is why couldn't I put coolant temp, tran temp, and oil temp into one gauge? They are all the same sending units and all electric. All I would have to do is run them to my outfitter switchs and then I can turn them on or off. Just pondering on this. Any thoughts let me know. Eric
