Check out Ford 460.com , those guys supercharge them all the time , the big block chevys were just more popular because they put them in so many of there performance cars , if they put 460s in the mustangs they would have all the aftermarket support the 302 does...JMO.....Lew
Checked out the sites. While there is some, there is not a lot of support for the EFI crowd.
No that is true - the Vortech kit is the only one that I know of plug and play for the EFI crowd. The others are roots type, I was simply using those as examples of all the places that don't sell superchargers for the 460
You could always do a custom kit for a Procharger like the Supercharger Store does (I think they have made them for the 460 in the past) and then customize the install to fit or use a standalone EFI controller. The aftermarket support for the EFI 460 has never been fantastic, but with a little ingenuity, you can make things happen.

You can say that again. Unless your looking to do exhaust and headers or shell out big bucks for the Vortech, there isn't a whole lot of plug-and-play components available for those of us who want to keep the EFI
Maybe the problem was his friends were about as smart as he is and just couldn't figure it out. lol
HAHAHAHA! Good one!
Ever notice how there is, all too often, an inverse relationship between what a member knows (or, more accurately, doesn't know...) and the amount of attitude they present?
For example--the bolded section, below, was entirely unnecessary, and unprovoked.

I am baffled by this approach--what is the thought process here...is it "Hmmm, I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'll say it insultingly, so that I sound real emphatic, and that will convince those that do know what they're talking about, that they're wrong?"

I know this thread is a little old, but how much power does a vortech add? I found one for next to nothing that might need to be rebuilt to add to my dads truck for a little extra towing power, but the thing needs to be reliable still. Let me know thanks guys
