I hate Autos

Never let your impatient father force your e4od transmission and break the front pump. It will for sure **** you off. Just got done building the engine(351w) and go to take it for a drive and nothing. No forward or reverse monement

Honestly aside from Big in Big out Toploaders I hate Ford trannys altogether.

So far I have had 3 leaky C6s, 3 dead C4s, A slipping AOD, my current bad T5 that replaced a smoked A4LD that required me to buy a back up vehicle. Its A4OD is now going.

c6s and c4s and big in big out toploaders are my favorite ford trannys AODs suck hard

the c6s are really strong in stock form but eat power i have a stock (rebuilt to stock specs before i bought it) c6 with a r-code servo and a full manual valvebody 2800 converter and deep sump pan living behind a 450 horse motor with a 250 shot of juice on it and has been back there since 06 (i don't drive the car much though)

the c4 tranny is lightweight and doesn't steal as much power as a c6 and can be built to be really strong

e4od is all electronic and if you look at this board you see them failing way too often

AOD is a good idea but it was poorly executed there is no need to have 2 input shafts, it's just asking for one to break (which they do) and did they really need to have the shift pattern that they do? why couldn't they have a 4 position shift pattern instead of a 3 position?? wouldn't that have made more sense that way you can hold your gears without jamming it back into first to hold second gear
