Need help quick
Does anyone know where I can find information, pictures, diagrams or anything on the charging system for a 72 F100 4x4 with a 360? I don't think my alternator is bad. My truck is not getting a good connection somewhere. There's a box bolted to the front of the engine compartment. Today my truck wouldn't start and checking my usuall connections didn't work. I noticed a plug and this box. I plugged the plug into the box and my truck tried to start and then the battery almost exploded and went completely dead. I have no clue what this box is. The wires from the plug run to the alternator and into other wires that go to my cylenoid. It has to be something to do with the charging system. Any suggestions or ideas will help greatly.
