I accidently lost 3 small gaskets that go with my holley carb. They got sucked into the engine. Im i going to be in trouble? it happend this morning and i drove it all day and it seems to be fine. Will they just get burned up and shot out the exhaust? they are rather small some kind of washer gasket materiel they were very thin and rather fragil. I dont want to blow up my 460.
Yeah, most gaskets are paper or cork or a composite. Some are rubber. All burn fine. Rubber might make a tiny bit more mess but with small gaskets, so what.
Only worry is whether any of the gaskets had metal washers or reinforcements. Probably not. And since they are small, they would have gone thru the pipes too.
All sorts of junk gets sucked into an engine from time to time due to goofs. Most just burn up or blow thru.
I wouldn't worry about it. besides, it's too late now and any problem would have shown up by now.
