A lurker speaks
First off I'm a Chevy guy-But my first driving (not including farm equp.)was a 70's Furd f-250 4 speed(I could not see over the dash)I'm not a Brand hater and I've allways liked Furd trucks(and some cars)
I've owned a 64 falcon(6 banger) daily driven a 56 f-100(6 banger and a fun driver)and a 89 f-150(treated it like a f-450)with a 5.0/e4od(tail housing exploded-BOOM)
USA=A OK
So i just bought a 88 f-150 4x4 with a 4.9/5od-it had some issues
This site is great-you have fixed(through many searches)
1 the low throttle herky jerkys(with occasional high idle)-new tps and oxy sensor-fixed
2 NO POWER-would not maintain speed on the smallest hill,would have to drop down to 4 or even 3-so I checked timing,10btdc with sprout in 1 atdc with it out
set it to 10 btdc-

Yeah i was a chevy guy to awhile back so i won't hold that against you LOL ..Welcome to FTE is a great forum . So someone set the timing on your truck with the spout in , that will do it , good luck with the truck ....Lew
