No worries, you're new and all this info will become second nature to you in good time on here
In theory you can put King Ranch rims on your '04, but the backspacing is different so the tires may rub. I don't know for sure, because I've never done it but I do know that '05 up trucks used a different backspaced wheel than older Super Dutys.
As for the updated front end, if you look on Ebay you can find '05+ headlights with the pigtails needed to run them in an older truck for around $200 (much cheaper than a dealer) and you just splice the pigtails into your current harness. You can also find '05+ grills that have been cut to fit earlier trucks too. That's really the only 'cheap' (relatively) way to do it without replacing the bumper and core support.
Welcome to FTE. You'll have to try a lot harder than that if you want to look like an idiot.
As mentioned, the wheels are different and not everyone thinks spacers on such a big truck is a good idea.
As for the front end, your front bumper is shaped different than the 05 & up so you'll either need to change the bumper or trim the grill. You'll also either need to replace your header panel or trim your existing one to get the newer headlights to fit. That and an adapter to fit the new bulbs and you should be set.
The 05+ rims have different backspacing because the 05+ trucks have bigger brakes and a coil spring front suspension (vs. the leaf springs found on the 99-04 trucks).
From what I understand, the wheels will fit (same bolt pattern) but will stick out a little more.

Actually, the 05+ wheels will stick more inward than the 99-04 wheels, which may cause rubbing issues. Redford, I knew that's what you meant to say...
The screw holes on top of the grill will line up, the holes for the clips on the bottom will not. If you keep your bumper, you'll have to trim the bottom of the grill and secure it with wires or zip ties. For the holes to line up, you'll need to change the header panel and bumper.
