tri-power pickup??????
My dad put a 406 tri on his 65 ford 4x and the 406 cast iron headers. There is a picture of it in the 65 section. He won alot of 4x pulls with it. I took the system and went through it, rebushed throttle shafts, new everything, and put them on my 79 with the 428. Pretty damm awesome power. Horrible gas milage when I got my foot in it. If you can find one and the parts to fix, you will be happy. Its nostalgia power of course not like todays CNC milled manifolds and trick carbs but when you pull into a gas station and pop the hood to check the oil (even though you know there is no reason to) the crowds start to gather. Something about multible carbs gets em every time.

I bought a '68 Mustang with a 390GT & 3 dueces (Holleys) just to get the intake/carbs. It was great either idling or wide open. Drove pretty bad @ part throttle though. A bit of warning: point it where you want it to go before you kick it. At 100mph, you could kick it & it would set you back in the seat. What a blast to drive. I really should go through the carbs & put 'em on my 428CJ in the F-100. Yeah, I put a cast iron intake & 4bbl on the 'stang before selling it. My uncle had a '67 years ago with Stromberg carbs. I've never seen another set up like that. Ford used the Holleys.
