I have a '96 Ford E150 Conversion van. It has front and rear heater-A/C. The problem I have is this: The OBD II is showing a lean condition on both cylinder banks. So I figure I have a big vacuum leak somewhere. The van is equipped with a EFI 5.0L (302). So I figure I have a massive vacuum leak in the intake manifold somewhere.(the engine has about 85,000 miles on it. The van has 216,000) The engine was replaced at 120,000 milea\s due to a defective radiator that contaminated the engine oil and caused internal engine damage. The radiator was replaced with a brass one when the negine was replaced. I am the second owner. The first owner is a good friend of mine.
Question: Could the large vacuum leak be causing erratic movement of the blender door on the front heater? Coud it also cause erratic operation of the heater control valve? I believe both are vacuum controlled, but my service manual is of little help.
