Recommend a unit that can do this
I am looking for a new GPS navigation unit. I like to Garmins and Magellans. I know how to enter the starting and ending points.
What I want to be able to do is create a route with a start, way point, way point, way point, etc. and end point. But these way points I want to be able to plot by entering nothing but a LAT and a LON coords...not having to match up to some close address.
Which kind of units do this?

That sounds more like a marine type than the typical addressed based automotive units. I haven't seen coordinates since my old GPS. You might also try Fire/Rescue suppliers, aviation(helicopter) based unit should use coordinates and street address in theirs, but I doubt they do CD and am/fm. If you find something, please share with us.
