Frame ID numbers

Frame ID numbers
hi folks,
I've just about finished power brusing my frame. A '72 F-250 4x4. I found the ID numbers in 2 locations, 1 in the usual spot and 1 another foot or 2 towards the rear. The numbers are F26YCM63346 , this has me puzzled because i thought it was supposed to begin with "F25" not "F26" can anybody explain?
