I would like some help identifying the rear end in my 77 F-250. Can't read the numbers on the cover so I took the numbers right off the ring gear inside They are as follows
2-21-77 Dana 30360 B3D99X 41-10 575
I would greatly appreciate anyone telling me what all these numbers mean.
Mike
The only numbers I recognize are "41-10", which tells me it has 41 teeth on the ring, 10 on the pinion, 4.10-to-1 ratio.
Tell you what: Post the VIN code and the various codes off the data plate on the driver's door jamb, and I'll dig out my '78 service manual and see what I can find out.

If you post the numbers from the axle tube ,which is a "bill of materials" number, I can give you detailed info on the entire axle including the individual Spicer #'s contained within the axle assy. This goes the same for front Dana axles.
