i just replaced my airfilter after i just got the old one wet now every time i start my truck it beebs and says check air filter is there a sensor that i could replace to get rid of it.
on the intake right behind the filter there is a filter minder, you have to press the yellow top on it to reset it. It is a clear can looking thing about the size of a shot glass with a wire/pigtail coming out the side next to the master cylinder.

A couple of questions:
How did you manage to get it wet and how did you know?
How many miles did you have on it and how did it look?
I have about 73K on mine and even though the filter minder says it doesn't need to be replaced I'm thinking I may go ahead and do it when i do my 75K service.
did you get the light off? often we see the wires get pinched under the batter tray and shorted out. have also seen them fused together from hot antfreeze puking on them as well as fuel in coolant
Try unplugging the wire from the filter minder. If the light goes off, it is probably water in the filter minder switch, or in the connector. Set the filter minder (it just pulls out of the air filter cannister) someplace warm and dry for a while, but don't run the truck without it, as it is downstream from the air filter so the hole could let debris into the clean side of the filter and then into the motor. Maybe spray a little WD-40 on the contacts of the wiring harness. I assume this is the same puddle as the "water in oil" thread. It all should dry out over time.

I would use some contact cleaner after the WD-40 since it is conductive.
