Question e-350 V10 "too lean" rough idle

I ran diag. and found two codes both saying "too lean". It idles rough and stutters at take off. Check engine is on. Haven't checked mileage, but I'm sure it's worse.

Which model year? How many miles?

Are you showing a P0171/174? If so, it's likely a dirty MAF sensor.

OBD-II Trouble Code: P0174 System Too Lean (Bank 2)

I've seen it usually turn out to be the vacuum line from the PVC to the back of the intake going bad. It makes a T and multiple bends and it can get real soft and gooey. it connects near the idle air controller at the back of the intake manifold. I know that there are a few designs depending on the year and level of emissions installed. The local dealers always seem to have them in stock.

+1. If you get a lean code for both banks like that it's usually a vacuum leak and the most common place is the T connection on the PCV line up near the TB.

Depends on the year of the van, but have you checked your IAC?
