Gentlemen,
I think I have an easy question, and hopefully an easy fix. My right rear turn signal doesn't flash. Neither does the right rear emergency flasher. However, the lamp in that socket works fine. The other flasher on the rear left, as well as the two on the front work fine.
Any help with troubleshooting this problem would be appreciated.

I have power to the problem right rear tail light. The lamp is on when I turn on the parking lights or headlights.
However, there is no power when I turn on the right hand turn signal. At this point I have tail lights but no right rear turn signal or right rear emergency blinker.

There are two separate circuits for the night time marker light and the turn/brake light. The light bulb has two filaments inside, it is possible for one of them to burn out. Swap your bulbs between your lights, if the problem transfers, then you need to change the bulb. If the problem remains on the same side then you have an issue with the socket or wiring.
Don't know if this will help, but I had a similar problem ( other side ) on the car. Ended up being 1 broken terminal on the plug into the turn signal switch & 1 ready to break. My first thought was just a bulb. Cheap, easy fix. WRONG!! Traced wiring as far as the flasher & forgot to print colors for wires the rest of the way. Gave Tech School a shot at it & that was what they found. Works good now.
I bought two new lamps and tried one. No go. The blinkers and brake light on the right side don't work, yet.
The wiring from the tail light goes to a bundle. The wires look OK, but there's some connections that are suspect. Could be trailer hitch lights.
Is there a turn signal relay that controls only the right side, rear? Not likely, I suppose. The right front turn signal works OK, but it seems dimmer than the left. Could be a clue.
Anyway, if there are any suggestions, I'm all ears.

PS The truck hadn't been washed in years and I just took it to the car wash. Six dollars worth of quarters made a huge difference. Now for the oil and air filter change.
Is there a wiring diagram on the internet for the 1990 F150, two wheel drive, 302 engine, 5-speed? It would make tracing the wiring a little easier if I knew what color to look for.
Thanks,
Randy

I printed one for my car at the library. They had All Data. 10¢ per page.
Good news! The problem is solved. Turns out that the area around where the lights for the trailer hitch were installed had some splices buried in electrical tape. I pulled the whole wiring harness out this morning, then when I got home tonight I carefully pulled the tape off the wire to the right rear blinker/stop light. There was a disconnect, so I spliced it back in, tested it, then reinstalled the whole enchilada.
Thanks for all of the advice, and just as importantly, the support. I needed it.
By the way, I tried soldering the wires, and the Ford wiring seems to be something you cannot solder. I had to crimp on a connector.
Now, I'm onto another list of things to do on the new, old, truck. Just realized that you don't need a key to start it. You just have to turn the place where the key goes into the steering column. Not sure why the PO gave me the extra set of keys because I don't need them, except maybe to lock the doors.
I'll stay in touch. This looks like a very helpful group of passionate Ford truck folks.
