welded 9 inch
my truck currently has a ford 9" in it. im running 38 inch swampers. i know the 9 inch is a tough axle for what it is. with the tires im running if i was to weld up all my spider gears to make it a locker how long could i expect it to last?

Put in an electric, cable or air actuated locker or some other type of loacker.(Detroit locker) You don't want to run a locked differential on pavement unless your only going only in a straight line.(Drag racing)

I would be more concerned with road manners!
No wait, it wont have any road manners!
It wont steer worth a chit!
Not to mention it will chew the tires up fast on road.
Find yourself $500 and put a Detroit in it, still yet that will be a little untamed.
