can any of you send me pictures of where they have either there factory or aftermarket back up cameras located? i have an aftermarket one that i am trying to figure out where i want to put it on my 09' expedition but cant seem to find a place i like it.
I have a license plate frame mounted back up cam hooked up to my X910BT. Works great! Similar to this one...
one of my friends got one of the license plate ones and it didnt have a very good quality, i have installed many pioneer, clarrion, and kenwood cameras and they have amazing quality i have a pioneer already just havent decided where to put it. my wife uses it for backing up but i use it to tow my race trailer. so i want it somewhere not to noticable.
I own a shop and install these on a daily basis. If you get a good quality one it will have a good quality picture. I use Boyo cameras and have always had great success with them. As to where to put your camera on your Expedition, that depends on what style camera you have.
I have the Pioneer camera and installed it just below the 3rd brake light on my 99 expy.
did you end up drilling in to the door? or on the 3rd brake light?
when i had one on my f-150 i put it right above the hitch. i was thinking about putting this one next to the button for the window on the back hatch. i just posted this to see if anyone has put it in any trick places or i have seen people fiberglass it in to there 3rd brake light, or even a piece of trim on the back of the vehicle.
